Privacy Policy

Indie Cntrl is a content management platform for independent creative professionals including musicians, photographers, podcasters, video creators, authors and visual artists. We help creators distribute and promote their content across multiple platforms from one place. Indie Cntrl is operated by Seun Sotimirin, based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

We collect the following types of information when you use Indie Cntrl:

Account Information

Your name, email address and password when you create an account.

Creator Profile Information

Your creator type, display name, connected platform usernames and follower counts you choose to share.

Connected Platform Credentials

When you connect a third party platform such as Spotify, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Etsy or others to Indie Cntrl, we store OAuth access tokens that allow us to publish content on your behalf. These tokens are stored securely and encrypted.

Content You Upload

Audio files, images, videos, written content, artwork and any other files you upload to publish through Indie Cntrl.

Usage and Analytics Data

How you use the Indie Cntrl platform, which features you use, and performance data about content you publish through our platform.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain and improve the Indie Cntrl service
• Publish content to platforms you have connected and explicitly authorised us to post to
• Display analytics and performance data about your published content
• Send service notifications and updates about your account
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Indie Cntrl integrates with third party platforms to enable cross-platform content distribution. When you connect a platform such as Instagram, Pinterest, Spotify, Etsy, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Snapchat or any other supported platform:

• You explicitly authorise Indie Cntrl to access your account on that platform
• We request only the minimum permissions needed to publish content on your behalf
• OAuth tokens are stored securely in encrypted form
• You can revoke access at any time from Settings → Connected accounts within Indie Cntrl, or directly from the third party platform

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the third party platforms we integrate with. Each platform's own privacy policy applies to your use of that platform.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. We use:

• Encrypted storage for all OAuth tokens
• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data
• Regular security reviews and updates

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Indie Cntrl uses essential cookies to maintain your login session and app preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not serve ads.

Indie Cntrl is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on your location you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of data processing

You may also:

• Disconnect any connected platform at any time from Settings → Connected accounts
• Delete your account at any time from Settings → Account

Indie Cntrl is operated from Canada. If you are located outside Canada your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice within the Indie Cntrl app. Your continued use of Indie Cntrl after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
